Oy! These Republicans

My favorite part of their convention was the chanting, Drill Baby Drill! It was fun to hear Thomas Friedman Op Ed Writer for the New York Times mention this to Terry Gross on NPR
and with a passion uncharacteristic of today's journalism concisely size them up with an exasperated, "What planet are they on?" Even Martians if they existed would know better. It beats us? Don't be fooled by these cads again. McCain was a war hero of an unjust war, which smarter heroes left the country rather than fight. Vietnam did not topple the Soviet Union, nor did the cold war. The Soviet Union toppled itself just like we will any day now if we're not quick on our voting feet! Please watch Videodrome and consider it.
It is two and a half hours long with 22 videos, so you may want to do it in chunks. It's odd that most European liberals I speak with don't bat an eye at the proposition that Cheney/ Bush
(mind over matter) and probably Giuliani were behind 9/11. Ask any New York Police Officer or Fireman who was there what they think of Giuliani. Most of them, off the record, hold him accountable for their co-workers injuries and deaths. We do still have Freedom of speech right?
